DESCRIPTION
An eight-day coach
trip plus a two-day stop to discover Frederick's Castles, in an area dotted
with magnificent fortified farms and crossed by old transhumance tracks, an
area rich in indigenous dialects mingled with Provencal dialects, a legacy of
the ruling d'Anjou family during the Kingdom of Naples.
The multiplicity of
cultures has enriched the cuisine, making this part of Italy a precious
treasure chest of art, customs and biodiversity. During the tour there will be
guided visits to castles and areas of special cultural interest. We will be
accommodated in “masserias”, so that we can taste typical local dishes greeted
as welcomed guests and not as tourists.
SERVICES
Transport to and from
Bari airport or station for those arriving by plane or train, accommodation,
food, guided tours where necessary, overnight stays almost always in typical
farmhouses or country inns, lunch in the countryside where possible, visits to dairy
farms to watch cheese-making.
COSTS
Cost per person Euro
4,000 full tour, possibility for half tour at Euro 2,500, fees to be paid 50% on
booking and 50% on departure.
Insurance coverage for
the entire trip.
Minimum four people,
